Megan Andriessen
PSYCHOLOGIST
Megan holds general registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists (MAAPi). Megan is also a registered Medicare provider.
Megan loves connecting people to the skills they need to live well and strives to create an empathic, non-judgemental and safe space where you feel comfortable talking about the issues that negatively impact your wellbeing.
Megan draws from a range of treatment modalities including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy as well as a Psychodynamic approach to help her clients identify issues that prevent them from achieving their optimum functioning. Â Megan has completed training in the assessment and treatment of a range of issues including depression, anxiety, stress and traumatic stress disorders, life transition and adjustment issues.
When not at work, Megan likes to immerse herself in time with family – including a cheeky border collie and 2 very cuddly cats – Â using her creative energy on the pottery wheel or ‘treasure-hunting’ for bargains in the local op-shops.
Megan is currently completing the Master of Brain and Mind Sciences through the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney.
